HOW WE SERVE

At the heart of our mission, we are striving to become "repairers of the breach, and restorers of streets to live in." Our community engagement is marked by the soul-stirring music and musical education programs within and beyond our church walls, innovative tech and community initiatives focused on the right to repair, as well as a thoughtful exploration and reckoning with our heritage. Every facet of our service is a directed toward uniting communities, deepening our faith, and creating meaningful change in the neighbourhoods where we find ourselves.

MUSIC

In our ministry, music flows through every service and gathering, weaving a cords that binds our parishes together. From the stirring anthems of our Cathedral choir and the timeless echo of the Cathedral change bell ringers, to the pioneering cello lessons of Les Anges Cordistes at St. Michael's, we celebrate a blend of tradition and innovation. The talents of our organists in multiple parishes, both paid and volunteer, along with the myriad other musical contributions, are the heartbeat of our worship. Together, these elements create a mosaic of sound and musical education that enriches our faith and community, showcasing the unique gifts each parish brings to the table.

DIGITAL MINISTRIES

At St. Michael's, ChapeauVert and Digital Discipleship blend technology with community values. This initiative offers educational programs on coding, social media, and ethical technology use. It supports the 'right to repair' movement to minimize electronic waste and encourages intergenerational connections by assisting seniors with digital skills. Additionally, it repurposes donated computers for those in need, emphasizing not just technological proficiency but also fostering a connected, informed, and ethical community.

(RE)CATECHISM

Part of charting a path for our future as a church, is reckoning with our past—to confess what we have done, and what we have left undone in relation to the land and our neighbours. In our (Re)Cathechism approach to Christian formation, we strive to engage with this history—the good, the bad, and the ugly—through Bible study, workshops, and pilgrimages, so that we can better discern who the Creator is calling us to become in this place.
